Who's playing at the Trout in 2015?

FROM THE MUSIC PRODUCER

Welcome to the 20th anniversary of the Trout Forest Music Festival.  This amazing anniversary festival will feature a reunion of Trout favorites the D Rangers as well as the return of the most entertaining man on the planet, Al Simmons.   Other regional acts, The Sturgeons, Sierra Noble, Federal Lights, Still Standing, Last Ditch on the Left and Sing-cerely Yours will also be gracing us with return engagements.   Add some punk-folk from BC’s Shred Kelly and ex-Crash Test Dummy ‘Son of Dave,’ soul/funk from Jarvis Church and The Dirty Catfish Brass Band and a dash of Canada’s best singer-songwriters and we have everything one could need for the great Canadian festival experience… but instead of battling the tens of thousands, we get to celebrate in the intimate Trout environment.

Friday’s kickoff in Frank’s Tavern will, as usual, be a chance to sample some of what’s to come over the weekend. Jam around the midnight campfire and spend Saturday and Sunday wandering back and forth between workshops and concerts at the three stages, stopping for a cool dip or beverage in between. The ‘family’ stage will continue to be a mixture of family entertainment and ‘open mic’ performances, so stop by with your instrument and show us what you got. You can also sign up for the hands-on instructional workshop and learn from some seasoned festival performers.  Visit the many food and artisan booths and remember… we’re not big, but we’re small… and you’re all good people.  Relax, have a swim and enjoy the finest of Canadian music in the finest of Canadian places.
