Privacy Policy

Trout Forest Music Festival ("TFMF") is committed to protecting your privacy online. We hope the following information will help you understand how TFMF collects, uses, and safeguards the personal information you provide on our Web site. The Trout Forest Music Festival Privacy / Security Policy is in effect for all of the Web pages and Web sites owned and operated by TFMF.

  • This policy will let you know about:
  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you
  • How TFMF uses the information that we collect from you
  • Who is collecting your information and with whom it is shared
  • The kind of security precautions that are in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of your information
  • Use of the Web site by children
  • Your acceptance of these terms

1. WHAT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IS COLLECTED FROM YOU

In general, you can visit the TFMF Web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself.  IP addresses (e.g., whether the visitor is logged on from a .com, .gov, or .edu domain), and domain names (the Internet address of a computer) are logged to track a visitor's session. This gives us an idea which parts of our site are visited and how long is spent there.  We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.  This means that a visitor's session will be tracked, but the visitor will be anonymous.  The visitor's browser also lets us know the type of computer and operating system being used (e.g., a Netscape browser on a Macintosh platform).

Sometimes, however, we ask you to voluntarily provide information about yourself.  Whenever TFMF collects personal information, we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.  Note, however, TFMF does not collect any personally identifiable financial or healthrelated information.

2. HOW TROUT FOREST MUSIC FESTIVAL USES THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU

When we capture such information about your session or about you, we may use it for research or to improve our site and the services we offer you.  We will ask you if you want us to use the information you provide to continue contact with you, either via email or postal mail (for example, to send you information or special offers, or for other marketing purposes).  We will not contact you unless you give us specific permission to do so.

3. WHO IS COLLECTING YOUR INFORMATION AND WITH WHOM IT IS BEING SHARED

When you are at the Trout Forest Music Festival website and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information only with TFMF.

The other circumstance under which TFMF may disclose your personal information to another party is when we believe in good faith that the law requires such a disclosure.  For example, we will share such information if we have reason to believe that the information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be either causing injury to, or interference with TFMF rights or property, other TFMF customers, or anyone else accessing the Web site.  Please keep in mind that any other Web sites that may be linked from our site may collect personally identifiable information about you.  The data collection practices of those Web sites are not covered by the Trout Forest Music Festival privacy policy.

4. WHAT KIND OF SECURITY PRECAUTIONS ARE IN PLACE TO PROTECT THE LOSS, MISUSE, OR ALTERNATION OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, TFMF cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk.  Once we receive your information, we make all commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems.

5. USE OF THE TROUT FOREST MUSIC FESTIVAL WEB SITE BY CHILDREN

TFMF encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the sites their children visit.  No information should be submitted to, or posted at the TFMF Web site by visitors under 18 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian.

6. YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By using this site, you signify your assent to the TFMF Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our site.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time.  Please check this page periodically for changes.  Your continued use of the TFMF site following the posting of changes to these terms means you accept the changes.  If you have any questions about this privacy policy, the practices of this Web site, or your dealings with us, please contact us.  You may contact us by phone TollFree at 1866TROUT33 (18668768833), local 8072222404, by email at: trout@troutfest.com, or you may send regular mail to the following address:
